Julia was born and raised on the Great Plains of Centennial,Colorado, USA! In her youth, she enjoyed climbing trees in the dry creek bed near her home and singing "Greased Lightning"on the coffee table with her two sisters, Caton and Laura, while her mother, Carol, accompanied on piano.
Julia went on to earn a Bachelor of Music degree in Classical Voice Performance with Theater, Dance and Visual Arts minors from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.
After college, Julia had a ball singing and dancing with Disney Entertainment. She was seen in the main-stage shows on the Disney Wonder,as "Belle" in the Beauty and the Beast show at Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios; and as Slue Foot Sue in the "Diamond Horseshoe Saloon" at Tokyo Disneyland in Japan.
After Japan, Julia got the guts to move to the Big Apple! She worked full-time as an actor, singer, dancer, showroom model, calligrapher, director and writer in New York City.
While in NYC, Julia had great success with her company, Calligraphy Designs by Julia A.K.A. julia, ink. Julia continues to provide unique calligraphy and quality hand-lettering for book design, wedding envelopes, invitation design, logo design and lots more!
In 2007, Julia launched PartySingers a one-of-a-kind Christmas caroling company providing contemporary and classic event entertainment. The Mistletones, Absolute Noel and The Original Dickens Carolers live it up each holiday season all over New York City and the Tri-State area. We are very grateful for our continued success.
In 2009, Julia left NYC for the big blue sea. She enjoyed her adventures aboard the Disney Magic and Wonder cruise ships cruising all over Europe's Mediterranean and Baltic ports, The Caribbean, Alaska and the Mexican Riviera. She originated the role of "Cruella DeVil" in Hunter Bell and Jeff Bowen's Villains Tonight! among several other roles in a total of fourteen shows performed in repertory on the two ships. She was also the cast's Vocal Captain.
She now calls Los Angeles home. Dang, people are pretty in Hollywood!
Julia feels incredibly blessed to be working in “the biz”. But at the end of the day, her family, close friends and loving partner are what truly matter. (A pug dog would be icing on the cake.)
LOVE AND LUCK!
